Charles Alley brings to Anderson Bauman Tourtellot Vos 20 years' experience as an operations executive, including leadership in successful turnarounds at three companies. He has served start-ups as well as multinational corporations, and has been an effective manager in both high growth and persistent loss situations.

Mr. Alley began his career as a production manager with Sara Lee Hosiery, and following two overseas assignments, rose to the position of director of domestic manufacturing for Sara Lee Hosiery North America. In that role he directed a manufacturing restructuring that reduced overhead by $9 million annually, and led initiatives that saved $10-$12 million annually in labor and materials. In recent years he has worked as director of operations and logistics for eDesigner Source, a young internet company; and as vice president of operations for Burt's Bees, a $45 million personal care and cosmetics company. In that capacity he developed the infrastructure to support a 50% annual growth rate, and improved cash flow from negative $80,000 per month to $1 million per month in the course of seven months.

As vice president of operations for Confluence Watersports, he led a supply chain turnaround which reduced freight costs by 30%, and very substantially improved quality processes, shipping performance and employee safety. He was co-founder and COO of Caring Support Services LLC, a provider of services to people with developmental disabilities.

Mr. Alley has earned the designation of Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) by the Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals. He served in the U.S. Navy for five years, aboard the USS Robison and the USS Donald B. Beary. He earned his BA degree and his MBA from Duke University.
