Michael Kain brings to ABTV over 30 years experience in business and financial management for middle market companies. In addition to management experience with several institutions in the financial services industry, he has spent over a decade as a turnaround management professional, revitalizing healthcare, manufacturing, distribution and retail businesses.

Mr. Kain earned his bachelor's degree in economics and his MBA from the College of William and Mary. At Crestar Bank, the forerunner of SunTrust, he headed the commercial finance department and increased loans outstanding by 37% in a 12-month period. At Virginia Commercial Finance, a private asset-based lender where he assumed the position of chief operating officer in 2007, he led the addition of asset based lending as a product line, extended that service to banks, and managed liquidations and workouts.

As a turnaround professional, Mr. Kain acted as interim CEO or COO for companies in a variety of industries, and assisted in the management of bankruptcy cases in courts in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. For a limestone quarry with a single elderly owner, he returned the company to profitability, negotiated the sale of the company in accordance with the owner's wishes, satisfied all creditors in full and provided a substantial return to the owner. For an electronic components manufacturer that had filed Chapter 11 to protect its assets, he found a buyer and negotiated a sale of the company under Section 363 of the bankruptcy code.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kain has demonstrated ability in analytical, financial, operations, marketing and general management. He has expertise in generating new business and in the management and training of professional staff.
