Tom McGoldrick has extensive experience in the development and implementation of turnaround and transition strategies. He has increased stakeholder value in a full range of situations from early stage venture capital engagements through implementation of chapter 11 plans of reorganization in both private and public settings. In recent years he has served as CEO, CFO, or CRO for companies that range from a Dot Com marketer to a medical services firm to a wireless tower construction company. He has also headed chemical, plastic, and packaging manufacturers.
As chief executive officer of a full-line hardware distribution firm, he reversed serious operating losses and restored the company to profitability while recapturing lost market share and achieving the highest customer satisfaction rating of all U.S. industry distributors.
Mr. McGoldrick has earned the designation of Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) from the Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals. He has received designation as a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and a Certification in Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV) from the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
Earlier in his career he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of one of the nation's largest copier and facsimile dealerships, a company he rescued from imminent bankruptcy. His corporate career includes 16 years with three separate Fortune 500 companies that spanned the consumer products, office equipment, and sporting goods industries.
Mr. McGoldrick is a former member of the advisory board for the University of North Carolina School of Business at Greensboro and director for Distribution America. He earned an MBA degree from the University of Connecticut and a BS degree from East Carolina University. Prior to attending college, Mr. McGoldrick served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam.
